The Rest is an original hand-colored lithograph realized by Achille Deveria. The artwork is hand-signed in pencil by the artist on the lower left. Very good conditions, except for some stains on the lower left margin and on the upper margin. Including passepartout: 48.5 x 32.5 cm Image Dimensions: 19.5 x 17.5 cm Achille Jacques-Jean-Marie Devéria (6 February 1800 – 23 December 1857) was a French painter and lithographer. By 1830, Devéria had become a successful illustrator and had published many lithographs. Devéria was also famous for his portraits of artists and writers. Works by Devéria are in the Louvre Museum, the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco, the J. Paul Getty Museum, the Norton Simon Museum, and the Université de Liègecollections. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
