A beautiful pair of Spanish Neoclassical armchairs featuring distinctive carved lyre-form backs, elegantly shaped arms, and finely detailed frames with fluted tapered legs. The frames retain a wonderfully aged, crackled painted finish in warm ivory and cream tones, revealing the natural wood beneath and creating a richly textured, timeworn appearance.
The upholstered backs and seats are covered in an unusually attractive woven jacquard fabric, featuring alternating bands of golden ochre velvet and intricate geometric motifs in ivory, olive, and muted rose. The combination of the decorative upholstery and beautifully aged frames gives the chairs a wonderful sense of European character and understated elegance.

The frames are structurally strong and display scattered areas of paint loss, surface wear, and natural aging throughout, contributing to their beautifully distressed appearance. The upholstery remains presentable overall, with localized wear to the velvet pile on the back of one chair and a small mark on the seat of the same chair. Both chairs retain their original decorative character and present beautifully. less
