This vintage ceramic soup tureen features a Trompe L’oeil arrangement of colorful fruit atop its lid. Bananas, grapes, apples, pears, and cherries create a striking centerpiece against the sunny yellow and white glaze.
The oval tureen features curved side handles, raised white banding, and a fitted lid with an opening for the included ceramic ladle. A coordinating oval underplate completes the four-piece ensemble.
An inviting decorative accent for a French country kitchen, farmhouse hutch, or traditional dining room, with beautiful color and dimensional detail for display between gatherings.
Marked underneath with a blue crown over “N.” Maker and pattern remain unidentified; described as Capodimonte-style.
Includes tureen, lid, underplate, and ladle. Please note, we are not positive that this is the original ladle. It is, however the ladle with which the tureen was found.
