Fine vertical striations texture the hair at the crown, contrasting with the smooth contours that define the arms, back, and folded limbs. Crafted in colourless lead crystal, the figure displays Lalique's signature satin frosted surface treatment across the body. This velvety acid-etched or sandblasted finish softens incoming illumination, while the polished clear crystal areas at the integrated base create internal reflections and transparent contrast against the frosted skin. Modelled as 'Nu Assis' (Seated Nude), the piece was designed by Marie-Claude Lalique, who continued the family glassmaking tradition into the late twentieth century with expressive figurative subjects. The solid crystal casting gives the compact piece noticeable weight and stability despite its modest scale. An engraved cursive script signature reading 'Lalique France' is etched onto the underside of the clear polished base, accompanied in the photographs by an unattached card bearing the block-lettered company logo.
