Designed in the traditional Dutch Flemish manner, the lighting fixture relies on plain candlelight rather than electric fittings, retaining open sockets suitable for standard tapers. The central column is constructed around a turned baluster stem dominated by a substantial polished brass sphere. Horizontal incised banding accents the spherical body and socket rims, terminating below in a turned finial and suspended ring drop. Above the arm junction, the baluster rises to a heavy cast loop linked to an oval-link suspension chain with an S-hook for hanging. Each cast branch slots independently into the central boss, held in place by dedicated locating lugs visible when disassembled. This modular construction reflects historic continental metalworking methods, allowing the light to be dismantled into its component stem and six scroll arms for transport or thorough polishing.

Measuring 58 cm in total drop, this medium-scale brass fitting displays bright polished surfaces with light handling marks, minor surface abrasions, and residual wax or verdigris deposits settled within the candle cups, consistent with normal decorative use, likely dating from the early to mid-20th century.
