An incredibly rare and masterfully designed 2 drawer Danish Modern writing desk by lesser known designer J. Ingvard Jensen of Odense, Denmark having stunning grain throughout the rosewood top with hand carved gallery rails on 3 sides over gently tapered legs. Both drawers lock and the original key is included.
J. Ingvard Jensen is a lesser-known furnituremaker who produced high quality pieces in Odense, Denmark. This desk is quite rare we’ve never seen it before. Early examples of his design are catalogued in the collection of the Danish Design Museum from 1947.
In excellent condition having smooth drawers and perfectly functioning original locks. An absolute masterpiece of Danish design.
