Make a striking architectural statement with this spectacular, monumental pair of postmodern studio art glass fan vases by renowned American artist Mark Hines. Standing an impressive 24 inches tall, each dramatic vase is created using a complex slumped glass technique. The design features a heavy, thick-walled glass pocket highlighted by a rich cranberry-pink glass back panel, a textured gold-iridescent front face, and elegant gilded trailing lines.
Each glass wedge is beautifully cradled by a custom, hand-forged abstract twig or root-style minimalist iron stand. Because the slumped glass sheets feature organic, individualized curves, the brutalist iron bases were hand-fitted to precisely accommodate the silhouette of each specific piece. These gorgeous, highly textural sculptures perfectly complement Postmodern, Hollywood Regency, Memphis, or Organic Modern interior aesthetics.

Both slumped glass inserts are completely free of chips, cracks, or structural flaws. The hand-painted, metallic gold linework is bold and beautifully preserved. The custom welded iron bases feature an intentional organic, rustic patina that is stable and clean. One vase is clearly hand-engraved and dated near the base: "Hines 05". Note: Like much of Mark Hines' studio functional art, these vases are ideal for dried botanical stems, architectural branches, or as freestanding glass sculptures.
