Matching pair of porcelain nesting bowls from Dorothy Hafner’s Flash series for Rosenthal Studio-Line, produced in Germany during the 1980s. Softly rounded square forms and speckled grey surfaces provide the backdrop for sweeping black lines and abstract accents in turquoise, lavender, pink, blue and peach. The decoration extends across the interiors and exteriors, creating distinct but coordinated compositions. The smaller bowl nests inside the larger one for compact storage.
