American ribbed glass honey jar with a sterling silver lid topped by a beautifully detailed bee finial. The horizontal glass ribs and stepped silver cover echo the shape of a traditional beehive.
The photographed marks are consistent with R. Blackinton & Co. of North Attleboro, Massachusetts. Comparable examples support an estimated date of circa 1920s–1930s.
Measures approximately 4.5 inches tall × 3.25 inches in diameter.
Includes the glass jar, sterling silver bee-topped lid, and wooden honey dipper. The wooden dipper’s originality is unknown.
