Pair of 20th-century Kindel Winterthur Empire-style mahogany dressers, each fitted with four drawers. The fronts display figured mahogany veneer, gilt stenciled ornament, and decorative gilt-finished mounts, with turned columnar supports and carved claw feet. Each case has a molded top and a shallow upper drawer above three graduated drawers, fitted with round pulls. A Winterthur maker’s stamp and the number 83 008 578 are visible on the back of one dresser. The pair reflects the classical forms of the Empire revival.
