The leather-covered panels are arranged with individual landscape vignettes framed within octagonal and geometric reserves, depicting cattle, sheep, horses, farm buildings, wooded landscapes, figures, haystacks and country roads. The scenes are separated by scrolling foliate decoration and repeating rustic motifs in warm shades of ochre and brown against a softly aged cream ground.

The palette of muted greens, blues, browns and golden tones gives the screen the appearance of an earlier European decorative interior piece, while its symmetrical arrangement and ornamental borders lend it a Neoclassical-inspired character. Dark metal nailheads trace the outer perimeter of the panels, complementing the visible metal hinges joining the three sections.

The reverse is simply finished in a warm parchment-toned surface, allowing the painted face to remain the focal point. At 78.5 inches high and 54 inches wide when fully extended, the screen has considerable decorative presence and could serve as a room divider, architectural accent or large-scale decorative backdrop.
