The vessel has a broad swelling body tapering gently toward the foot and is finished with a substantial rolled rim, giving the simple form a strong sculptural presence.

The glossy green glaze varies subtly across the surface, with lighter and darker areas reflecting the character of the firing and hand-finished ceramic body. The interior is fully glazed in a deeper green tone, while the underside retains a partially unglazed foot rim.

Its substantial scale makes this vintage Chinese vessel particularly effective as a floor planter, cachepot or decorative jardinière. The saturated green color works especially well against neutral interiors and natural woods, while the restrained form allows it to mix easily with both antique and contemporary furnishings.
