Each lamp base is custom-converted from a traditional baluster-shaped porcelain vase that has been professionally wired and mounted as a table lamp.
Each vase top has been professionally capped with a dark brown wooden collar at the top neck rim, fitted with a polished brass adjustable lamp rod (neck risers), dual light swivel sockets with pull chains, and a matching top finial mount. Both are fitted with high-quality, matching crisp white fabric lampshades in a classic bell/coolie silhouette featuring an open paneled architecture.
The porcelain vases are hand-painted with incredible care using colors in the traditional Japanese Imari aesthetic, showcasing scenes inside cartouches such as blossoming trees and foliage against a rich background. The style relies heavily on underglaze dark cobalt blue, vibrant overglaze iron red, orange-red, green, and shimmering gold gilt accents.
These luxury lamps have a bold, multi-colored Japanese Imari aesthetic; they are incredibly versatile and pair beautifully with several distinct furniture styles and will naturally complement classic European, Hollywood Regency, and American antique furniture.
