Highly reminiscent of iconic designs by legendary makers like the M. Brown Company of Wapakoneta, Ohio, this piece is an exceptional slice of American agricultural history.
Built using early steam-bentwood techniques, featuring a deeply curved barrel body supported by four elegantly integrated tall legs and a low-slung stable H-stretcher Retains its fully operational cast-iron geared drive mechanism with a large hand crank wheel and a turned solid wood handle. While originally an essential piece of farmhouse dairy equipment, this striking primitive artifact is perfectly suited for modern interiors. It makes a standout architectural statement piece in a rustic kitchen, a curated corner accent in a modern farmhouse living area, or a unique plant display structure. The original butter paddies are included as well. Great vintage condition with one minor chip on one of the legs, and replacement of screws. See less
