A masterpiece of mid-century European modernism, this exceptional 11.5-inch centerpiece bowl is a striking showcase of premium Italian art glass. Hand-blown in the historic Empoli region of Italy during the 1960s, this sculptural console bowl is attributed to the legendary glasshouse Stelvia (Società Toscana Esercizio Lavorazione Vetri Artistici).
The substantial, flared silhouette is masterfully engineered to capture and dramatically refract natural light. Its walls are densely saturated with an organic, beautifully tactile "controlled bubble" or seedy glass texture suspended seamlessly within a glowing honey-amber colorway. The structural base reveals elite artisanal craftsmanship, featuring a flawless, completely smooth, fire-polished foot rim with a seamless, mold-free underside.
This substantial piece offers a commanding, sophisticated pop of warm color for modern, minimalist, or eclectic tablescapes.
