The Christmas ornament “Splendid Arrival” is a stunning piece featuring a regal Santa Claus in a deep crimson robe decorated with ornate scrollwork. Slung over his shoulder is a huge, overflowing sack topped with a beautifully adorned holiday-green tree. Hand-blown and hand-painted by skilled artisans, this 1999 creation stands out with two unique elements.
First, Santa’s robe is covered in molded gold stars and swirling Baroque designs, unlike the plain velvet coats or simple fur trim seen in most traditional Radko Santas. The intricate glass mold offers far more detail than a standard flat coat.
Second, it’s a two-sided design: the front showcases Santa’s finely sculpted body, hand painted face and beard, while the back reveals an oversized toy sack bursting with a decorative green tree, pinecones, and wrapped gifts. It’s a perfect example of classic Radko artistry.
The original Radko tag and star hanger are intact.
