Up for professional acquisition is an exceptional vintage mid-century Italian architectural foyer lantern, showcasing a magnificent blend of Neoclassical and Hollywood Regency styling.
Dating from the 1960s era, this heavy-gauge fixture exemplifies the superior metalwork of mid-20th-century European foundries.
The lantern features a substantial two-piece modular construction. The main hexagonal housing is cast as a single solid-metal frame, beautifully enclosing six thick, hand-fitted clear beveled glass panels. Rising elegantly from the base housing is a separate, heavy openwork crown composed of six sweeping brass scroll arms that converge beneath a beautifully fluted sunburst canopy.

Excellent vintage structural condition. The heavy solid brass frame exhibits an incredibly rich, authentic aged patina with a distressed gilt-overlay finish that beautifully highlights the deep textures of the fluted canopy and scrollwork. The thick beveled glass panels present beautifully; please note there are a few minor flea-bite nicks along the hidden frame edges inside the brass channels. These are entirely concealed by the solid brass profile casing and are completely invisible when the fixture is assembled and hung. Wiring is intact and in working order.
