It features a signature asymmetric shelving layout set inside a large, prominent circular outline. This structure creates a visually striking contrast between organic curves and clean geometric steps. The cabinet is adorned with intricate traditional Chinese fretwork, open latticework, and detailed carvings along the corner brackets and drawer fronts. Designed historically to exhibit curios, porcelain, jade, tea sets, and scholarly treasures, it includes staggered display tiers, multiple built-in utility drawers across the center waist, and open lower shelving. Crafted from dense, high-quality traditional hardwoods, chicken-wing wood (jichimu)—and finished with a rich, dark stain that highlights the natural grain.
