STYLE: The gold-painted border features a stylized geometric Chinoiserie fretwork pattern, integrating traditional Chinese key motifs and rectilinear linework. The deep forest green lacquer background provides a rich contrast to the antiqued gold trim, emulating classic Asian export lacquerware that became popular in European and American decorator circles during the 19th and 20th centuries.

The metal base with a patinated finish features hand-formed faux bamboo nodes and elegant flared feet. The legs are stabilized by a fixed cross-brace (X-stretcher) configuration to support the weight of the tray while maintaining a lightweight, airy profile.

MAKER: Unknown, but a very similar table design was famously featured in the curated decorator furniture lineup of Brunschwig & Fils, the legendary high-end luxury textiles and interior design house founded in France. While primarily known for fabrics and wallcoverings, Brunschwig & Fils historically commissioned premium, limited-run accent furniture pieces for high-end interior designers. Très chic, no?
