A gelatin silver photograph by Greg Gorman depicting a submerged nude figure through the shifting reflections of a swimming pool. Rippling water fragments the body’s contours into intricate patterns of light and shadow, creating a composition that moves between figurative photography and abstraction.
Photographed in Los Angeles in 1991, this example is designated artist’s proof 1 of 5. The verso bears Gorman’s printed studio stamp, completed in pencil with the title, date, location, and proof designation, together with his signature. A separate handwritten birthday dedication appears along the lower verso.
Rich blacks and luminous highlights emphasize the sculptural presence of the figure beneath the water. Presented in a black frame with a wide white mat.
