This is a striking vintage porcelain lidded jar, crafted in a classic "melon" or winter melon form with a broad, rounded shoulder that tapers toward the base. The vessel is topped with a matching domed lid featuring a small, pointed finial. It is beautifully decorated in vibrant underglaze cobalt blue against a creamy white ground. The main body features a detailed, continuous landscape scene, complete with traditional multi-tiered pavilions, stylized rocky mountains, pine trees, and a calm body of water with a small bridge. The shoulder is adorned with a wide band of intricate geometric diaper pattern, interspersed with white cartouches containing auspicious symbols. The lower base is finished with a border of upright lotus petal lappets. The flat, unglazed base shows a natural, slightly textured finish.
