Charming small Chinese lidded ginger jar with creamy off-white crackle glaze finish. Hand decorated in striking iron red pigment featuring a pair of playful foo lions (guardian lions) amid stylized flame cloud motifs. Foo dogs symbolize protection, good fortune and prosperity in traditional Chinese decorative art.
Rounded bulbous body fitted with a matching domed lid trimmed with dark brown banding. This compact jar works beautifully for trinket storage, tea caddy use, cabinet styling, bookshelf vignettes and small Chinoiserie accent decor.
