This custom vintage table lamp features a Toyo Japan white porcelain fisherman figurine on a Ming style base, finished with an ivory silk shade and decorative brass finial. The figure’s broad textured hat, flowing robes, and long beard bring expressive detail to the glossy blanc de chine porcelain.
A dark stepped octagonal base provides a rich contrast, while the silk shade’s gently flared silhouette and tailored panel trim lend an elegant finish. A distinctive accent for a chinoiserie interior, traditional living room, or collected reading nook.
The porcelain figure retains its Toyo Japan label underneath. The label was found when removing the figurine from the base for cleaning.
The lamp measures 18 inches high to the socket. Includes the silk shade, 8-inch brass harp, and pierced brass finial.
The shade itself measures 10” x 8.5” at the top and 17.5” x 12.25” at the bottom. It is 12” I height.

The lamp is in working condition. The porcelain is free of chips, cracks and crazing. The wood base is free of damage. The fabric inside and outside of the lampshade is free of tears and stains. Please note, as the lamp was put together as custom, the figurine is screwed onto the base. It is not completely tight and feel a bit loose. Over tightening could case the porcelain to break.
