Crafted from wood, rattan, and wicker, the structure is a handsome patchwork of materials: a large panel of weathered, russet-brown wood is stitched in place with fine cane, while a strip of tightly woven wicker in a diagonal lattice runs alongside it. A tapering panel of coarse, hair-like natural fiber in smoky gray adds a rugged, tactile contrast. The interior of the upper pouch is lined with dark, short-pile hide, giving the piece an earthy, handmade depth.
