This vintage sink is in good condition for the age, with relatively few blemishes, and it looks nice from all … Read more This vintage sink is in good condition for the age, with relatively few blemishes, and it looks nice from all angles. Top to bottom details: The top surface of the backsplash is blemish free end to end but for a shallow 0.1" chip above the left faucet, and the vertical areas on either side of the faucets are in excellent shape. The majority of the time we removed the metal hardware, as these pieces don't fare as well as the sink. In this case the faucet handles were discarded because the chrome was flaking off. The remainder of the faucet parts were retained. Though they have not been recently tested with water, both valves move smoothly, stopping at fully opened and closed properly. The drain plug pop up lever is included since these are sometimes a little difficult to come by. There is pitting to the chrome of the handle, and the escutcheon is fine. This assembly operates as it should. The integral spout is excellent with no blemishes present. The vertical surface where the faucet resides is very good with no scratches or chips from the backsplash down to the bottom of the basin. The "deck" around the basin is fine on the whole. There is slight wear along the front edge of the raised rim and a 0.06" chip near the right corner. The sides, save for a tiny 0.05" chip at the right soap dish, are very good with little wear. The entire outside of the sink's front and sides is in excellent shape, with no damage or wear to point out. The interior of the basin is very good down the sides. There is slight wear toward the front of the bottom, and two chips were found: a 0.15" one in front of and to the left of the drain, and another measuring 0.07" near the back on the right side. Overall the basin looks good with a nice glossy finish. The flange shows some wear. The original stopper's exposed surface is good, and there is corrosion below. The underside of the sink is excellent, and the plumbing and mechanical parts are in good, usable condition. The included original cast iron wall bracket is very good.
