Pair of Shaver Howard Occasional Armchairs, 1965
A distinctive pair of occasional armchairs by Shaver Howard, dating to 1965. The sculptural metal frames feature scrolling arms, curved legs, and decorative brass ball finials. Black Naugahyde upholstered seats and suspended backrests provide a contrast to the slender metal framework.
Combining classical ornamental influences with mid-century modern design, these chairs offer a sophisticated balance of sculptural form and functional seating.
