It is … Read more This listing is a vintage handmade cross stitch throw in a vivid and remarkable animal and bird pattern. It is 50”x80” with an additional 1” white, red and blue fringe all around. I believe it is made of cotton. It would be a statement piece in any home. The cross stitch embroidery was done by my husband’s relative. I am not sure when she did the work, but it was given to us in the late 1970’s when she was downsizing. She was known for her expertise in all forms of handcrafted needlework. We always wanted to hang the piece so the full design could be seen, but now we, too, are doing our own downsizing. This has been stored in our nonsmoking home for many years. I hope it can go on to a home that will appreciate it. See less

It has been carefully stored away from sunlight for the 50 years we have had it, so the colors are strong and vibrant. It does not appear to have any repairs. The fringe shows some wear and would benefit from some tidying. less
