An elegant English naval walnut writing desk with brass decorations typical of this type of furniture.
Beautiful brass ornamentation: corner brackets and reinforcements, keyhole escutcheon, and finely shaped central motif on the top bearing the name of the former owner.
The writing desk opens to reveal two leather sleeves and a pen holder. It also features a mechanism that, when activated, reveals a trapdoor with two drawers. The two-hook lock is functional and comes with its key.
Beautiful patina and in excellent condition. High-quality walnut with a superb flame-like finish.
