An elegant Italian two-light wall sconce by Banci Firenze, dating to circa the 1970s, combining a richly textured gold finish with a striking central glass ornament.
A beautifully sculpted ribbon bow crowns the composition, its rippling loops and trailing ends lending the metalwork the movement of gathered fabric. An oval link connects this decorative flourish to the slender central stem, while two gracefully curved candle arms rise from a foliate base. Applied leaves and a delicate pendant finial complete the balanced silhouette.
The elongated, torch-like glass centerpiece provides a luminous contrast to the warm gold tones. Its reflective surface and patterned upper section introduce depth and sparkle, giving this relatively slim wall light a distinctive presence even when unlit.
Blending Florentine craftsmanship with Louis XVI-inspired ornament and Hollywood Regency glamour, this sconce brings European elegance to an entryway, powder room, bedroom, or an intimate seating area. Its shallow profile makes it particularly attractive above a narrow console or on a smaller wall.
The electrical wiring has recently been renewed by a qualified electrician, and the fixture is grounded. The original Banci manufacturer’s label remains partially preserved on the reverse.
The decorative finish displays age-related patina and light wear that contribute to its vintage character.
This listing is for one wall sconce.
