At the center of the lid, a star motif is surrounded by interlocking shapes in warm red, green, and gold. Alternating light and dark wood panels continue the design around each side, while the lacquered finish brings out the natural grain and vivid contrast. Neatly fitted joints and precise inlay work reflect careful craftsmanship. A small keyhole at the front recalls its original use as a secure container; the key is not present. Its compact form makes it useful for keeping jewelry, keepsakes, or other small essentials close at hand, and it also displays beautifully on a desk, bedside table, or shelf.

Measuring 6 inches wide, 6 inches deep, and 2.5 inches high, the box has a distinctive hexagonal silhouette that stands out among more conventional rectangular storage pieces. The patterned lid can serve as a colorful focal point in a collected interior, while the interior offers a convenient place for small items.

The original inlaid wood finish remains intact, with vibrant color and intricate geometric detail. Minor scuffs and slight wear, particularly along the edges, are consistent with age. The piece is structurally sound, with no visible repairs or losses. The key is absent. See less
