The asymmetrical design is characteristic of French Louis XV-inspired decorative arts, with deeply modeled details and a wonderfully aged bronze patina that highlights the intricate casting.

The original bronze finial has been fitted with a modern threaded lamp adapter, allowing it to be used on American lamps. The adapter is a later addition and is not original to the finial.

A lovely decorative accent for an antique or traditional table lamp, particularly suited to French Provincial, Rococo Revival, and eclectic interiors.

Condition:
Good antique condition with age-appropriate patina, surface wear, and oxidation. The modern lamp adapter has been mounted to the base of the bronze finial.
