This exceptional piece features extensive handwritten provenance on the reverse, firmly dating the harvest to June 9, 1973 ("9. Juni 73") in the region of Buchholz, Germany. It also includes the recorded harvest weight of 19 kg.

In keeping with traditional European taxidermy customs, the original matching lower jawbone is meticulously preserved and mounted within the recessed back cavity of the plaque. The antlers showcase a remarkably dark, heavily beaded texture with robust coronets and fine tines. This piece is in excellent vintage condition with an attractive natural patina on both the bone and the wooden plaque, making it a perfect rustic addition to a cabin, library, or gallery wall.
