The circular central mirror is surrounded by a hand-gilded frame and a broad architectural band of deep black glass, punctuated by slender brass divisions and decorative brass studs. Radiating from the perimeter is a rhythmic series of rectangular antiqued mirror panels, each framed with gilt detailing and displaying an intentionally distressed, beautifully mottled silvered surface.

The contrast between the reflective antiqued glass, glossy black elements and warm gold tones gives the mirror exceptional depth and graphic presence. Its strong circular geometry and radiating design reinterpret the traditional Spanish sunburst or starburst mirror through a distinctly late-20th-century Modernist aesthetic.

A sophisticated statement piece, this large decorative Spanish wall mirror would work equally well above a console or credenza, in an entry hall, living room or dining room, and can complement interiors ranging from Mid-Century Modern and Hollywood Regency to contemporary and eclectic design.

This mirror is in very nice vintage condition with only minor surface wear consistent with age and use. The photos accurately depict the condition. See less
