Beautiful vintage Drexel Esperanto "Poudre" vanity dressing table, circa 1960s, featuring warm pecan wood and veneers, elegant traditional styling, and a distinctive lift-up mirror with concealed storage.
Part of Drexel's Esperanto collection, this American-made vanity features the collection's rich Moreno finish, gracefully curved ends, decorative raised-panel detailing, and slender tapered legs with sculptural accents.
The thoughtfully designed center section opens to reveal a beveled-edge mirror and recessed compartment for storing jewelry, cosmetics, and personal accessories. When closed, the mirror folds neatly into the tabletop, creating a continuous, attractive wood surface.
Four spacious drawers, two on either side, feature dovetail construction, natural wood interiors, and decorative brass-finish hardware, including classic drop pulls on the upper drawers and circular ring pulls on the lower drawers.
The beautifully curved back, refined proportions, and architectural detailing make this a particularly attractive example of Drexel's mid-century interpretation of traditional furniture design.
The original Drexel manufacturer's trademark is present inside a drawer, along with the Esperanto collection identification stamped beneath the vanity.
A versatile and collectible vintage furnishing suitable for use as a bedroom dressing table, vanity, compact writing desk, or decorative accent piece.
