This handsome high chest showcases an elaborate arrangement of carved and applied scrollwork, floral-inspired motifs, decorative corner accents, turned columns, and gracefully shaped feet. The contrasting wood tones and dark accents emphasize its ornate design.

The upper section features a full-width drawer beneath a shaped gallery back, flanked by two small raised compartments with hinged lids that provide additional concealed storage. Below are three generously sized drawers, offering practical storage within an unusually decorative cabinet.

The drawers feature traditional dovetail joinery with solid wood sides, reflecting the durable furniture construction of the period. Decorative original metal ring pulls and distinctive upper drawer knobs retain their original character.

The paneled back displays a faint, partially legible manufacturer's or inventory marking. Although the lettering cannot presently be identified with certainty, it adds an interesting historical detail.
