The set is designed in an elegant baluster form and decorated with attractive holly leaf-style motifs, lending the pieces a traditional botanical character. Each component is raised upon a circular stepped pedestal base, creating a harmonious and well-balanced presentation across the set. Comprising a salt cellar, mustard pot and pepperette, all three principal components bear matching birmingham hallmarks for 1939 together with the maker’s mark for a. E. Poston & co. Ltd. The salt cellar and mustard pot retain their original bristol blue glass liners, both of which remain undamaged. The rich blue glass provides a particularly attractive contrast against the polished sterling silver. The set is accompanied by two period sterling silver condiment spoons. The mustard spoon is hallmarked birmingham 1916 and bears the maker’s mark for george unite, while the salt spoon is hallmarked london 1920. The mustard pot retains its functional hinged flip-top cover, while the pepperette cover fits securely. There is a small bruise to the lid of the mustard pot, with otherwise very good vintage condition throughout. Minor surface marks are consistent with age and use, with no noted holes, repairs or damage to the glass liners. The pieces remain free from later engraved presentation inscriptions or monograms and display an attractive bright silver patina. They have been thoroughly cleaned and are ready for use or display. The combined net sterling silver weight is approximately **221 grams**, with a combined gross weight of approximately **290 grams**.
