The cabinet is arranged across three individual glazed sections, each fitted with a pair of glazed doors. This creates an attractive architectural composition while providing excellent visibility and protection for china, glassware, collectibles, books or objets d'art. The lower two sections incorporate internal shelving, creating multiple individual display levels and allowing a substantial collection to be arranged neatly while remaining protected from dust. The relatively shallow 29 cm depth is particularly appealing, providing extensive display capacity without requiring the floor space associated with a conventional deep cabinet. At 89 cm wide and 120 cm high, the proportions are exceptionally practical for both larger and more compact interiors. The cabinet is raised upon traditional bracket feet, creating a substantial and beautifully balanced foundation while complementing the restrained character of the overall design. Particularly attractive is the oak itself, displaying pronounced natural grain and appealing figuring throughout. Rich, warm tones and an established patina give the timber considerable depth and character. Very well constructed and presented in very good antique condition, with appropriate signs of age and use consistent with its early 20th-century origin. Combining six glazed doors, extensive display space and unusually practical proportions, this is a highly versatile example of traditional English display furniture. Ideally suited to a drawing room, dining room, library or study for displaying ceramics, glass, books or a treasured collection.
