The upper section features a glazed display cabinet, allowing treasured collections, china, glassware or decorative objects to be displayed while remaining protected. Internally, three shelves create four generous display levels, providing excellent capacity while maintaining an attractive and well-balanced presentation. Below the glazed section is a spacious blind-door cupboard containing a single internal shelf, offering useful concealed storage for larger household items, tableware or other belongings. The cabinet is raised on a substantial plinth base, giving the piece a sturdy and well-balanced appearance while complementing its traditional proportions. Particularly appealing is the beautifully matured golden oak, which displays attractive natural grain, rich golden colouring and warm tonal variation throughout. The character of the timber gives the cabinet considerable visual warmth and allows it to integrate comfortably within both traditional and more contemporary interiors. Very well made and of good quality, the cabinet has pleasing proportions and a practical arrangement that makes excellent use of its relatively compact footprint. Standing 167.5 cm high while measuring only 76 cm wide and 33 cm deep, it provides considerable vertical storage and display capacity without occupying excessive floor space. Its combination of glazed display space, concealed lower storage and beautifully matured golden oak makes this a particularly versatile piece for a dining room, living room, hallway or study. Presented in good vintage condition, with appropriate signs of age and historic use consistent with its 20th-century origin.
