Of circular form, the bowl is framed by a distinctive gadrooned castle-top border, giving the piece a refined architectural character. The gallery is finely hand pierced with symmetrical fretwork, creating an intricate openwork design that contrasts beautifully with the polished silver. The bowl is raised upon a substantial spreading pedestal base, providing an elegant elevated profile and excellent stability. Its generous proportions make it suitable for serving fruit or cakes, as well as for use as a decorative table centrepiece. Fully hallmarked for Sheffield 1972, with some age-related rubbing to the marks while remaining legible. Crafted entirely from sterling silver, the piece has a substantial net silver weight of approximately 552.5 grams. Presented in very good vintage condition with only minor age-related surface marks. There are no noted splits, losses, bruises, damage or repairs, and the piece remains free from engraved presentation inscriptions or monograms. The silver retains a beautiful bright patina and is clean and ready for use or display. Material: Sterling Silver Vintage sterling silver Fruit bowl / Cake dish.
