The upper section is thoughtfully arranged with a blind-door cupboard to the left and an open compartment to the right, providing a useful combination of concealed storage and accessible display space. Below is a generously proportioned glazed central section, offering protected display space for books, ceramics, collectibles or decorative objects while allowing the contents to remain clearly visible. The lower section incorporates further glazed storage with practical sliding glass doors. This configuration provides easy access without requiring additional clearance in front of the cabinet, making the piece particularly practical for smaller rooms and narrower spaces. The three principal storage levels provide useful vertical clearances of approximately 24 cm, 28.5 cm and 36 cm, allowing objects and books of varying sizes to be accommodated. The cabinet retains its original handles and fittings, preserving the authentic character and integrity of the piece. Particularly appealing is the oak itself, displaying pronounced natural grain and attractive figuring throughout. Rich, warm colour and an established patina give the timber considerable depth and character while reflecting the quality of construction associated with Minty Ltd furniture. Very well constructed and presented in good vintage condition, with appropriate signs of age and use consistent with its 20th-century origin. At only 29.5 cm deep, this is an exceptionally practical cabinet, providing considerable storage and display capacity without projecting excessively into the room. Its compact 89.5 cm width further increases its versatility, making it particularly suitable for a library, study, drawing room, hallway or sophisticated contemporary interior.
