This striking frame is designed in the traditional 17th-century Baroque Northern European style. Often referred to as a "Flemish corner" or "crossetted" frame, this piece reflects a historic mid-19th century revival when fine Italian workshops masterfully reproduced early Dutch and Flemish models using specialized waving machine engines.

We make every reasonable effort to note significant conditions—such as damage, repairs, losses, or areas that may require or benefit from restoration—but the absence of a specific notation does not imply perfect or like-new conditions. Buyers are strongly encouraged to request a detailed condition report, additional photographs, or clarification prior to purchase, especially when upholstery or other condition-sensitive elements are involved. By completing a transaction, the buyer acknowledges that all items are sold with the condition variations inherent to antique and vintage merchandise. less
