This piece features a classic curved, saddle-like shape, traditionally used by Chinese scholars as a wrist rest to keep their hands elevated while writing or painting. It is exquisitely hand-painted with a vibrant, continuous landscape scene in a traditional pastel (Famille Rose) palette.
The detailed artwork depicts lush rolling hills, verdant trees in varying shades of green and autumn hues, serene waters, and tiny figures in traditional robes, complete with a small pavilion. The glaze has a soft, glossy finish that feels smooth to the touch.
