A radiating sunburst of finely incised lines in olive and bronze fans out from a cluster of stylized scallop shells in ochre-yellow and burnt orange, each one glass-over-enamel and etched with its own ribbing. The glossy surface catches light beautifully.

Davidson worked from her Sierra Madre studio and is among the best-known American enamelists of the 1950s and ’60s. This shallow charger-form piece is signed on the reverse with her incised “AD” mark and retains its original “Annemarie Davidson handcrafted enamels, Sierra Madre, California” label. Three felt bumpers protect the underside.

Style it on a console, hang it as wall art, or use it as a statement catchall on a coffee table or entry. See less
