Odense Denmark is a settlement from an area that is more than 4,000 years old. Today you can visit a local museum with early Viking artifacts from the region. There was prosperity for more than 100 years between 1530 to the mid-17th century. The sale of cattle funded construction of half-timbered houses which are still prevalent today. The Swedish Wars sidelined development until the 18th century when a city plan for development was drafted and major changes modernized the region. In 1805 the famous writer Hans Christian Andersen was born in Odense and you can tour his childhood home if you visit. He is most known for his children’s fairy tales. This lithograph poster is hand-drawn vignettes of historical milestones of this charming Danish community. It’s framed in a chestnut colored stain pine wood frame with brass corner ornaments
