Solidly cast and featuring a polished gold-tone brass finish, each bookend beautifully depicts a stylized version of Auguste Rodin’s iconic masterpiece, "The Thinker." Being brass they weigh quite a bit so postage will be a consideration in purchasing this pair. The height of this pair is 6.25 inches, 4 inches wide and 3 inches deep. They are mid-century pieces and the felt bottoms show the age of them. The figures boast an expressive, heavy-weight anatomical structure resting on rugged, rock-like plinth bases. They function beautifully as heavy structural supports for substantial literary collections or simply as standalone art objects. Both pieces exhibit a gentle vintage patina and minor surface wear consistent with age, lending them a timeless, curated character. I f ound these pieces here in the Treasure Valley from a woman downsizing. They are sold as a pair. See less
