Small mice figures form the handles, and the underside is marked Robbia Gualdo TADINO MADE IN ITALY. A playful Italian ceramic centerpiece for a table or console. The base is marked "Robbia / Gualdo Tadino / Made in Italy." Measured approximately 8 in. in diameter, approximately 4-7/8 in. to the rim, and approximately 6-5/8 in. overall. No comparable example currently on the market that we can find — a genuinely scarce piece. Condition: One mouse is missing its tail (broken off), and that same mouse has a hairline crack across its neck where it joins the rim, continuing a short distance onto the rim, plus a chipped ear. There are chips along the edge of the foot (largest about 1 inch) and a chip about 3/4 inch on the underside exterior. There are tiny glaze pinholes in the exterior luster and minor luster wear on the mice. The interior painted decoration is bright with no cracks or chips visible. See less
