Offered is a vintage mid 20th Century decorative plate made in Tonalá, Jalisco, Mexico, a province renowned for its earth-tone clay and much of the Mexican pottery and ceramic art created since that era. The burnished glaze, subtle sheen and earth-tone colors are indicative of earlier Tonalá pottery from the mid 1950s through early 1960s. The back surfaces are left unglazed; the plate is equipped with a build-in ring for hanging.
The platter measures: 12.375" diameter, 1.375" deep
