A beautiful, highly collectible example of American art pottery: an authentic Roseville Pottery double-handled squat vase in the coveted "Cherry Blossom" pattern (Shape No. 617-3.5), introduced circa 1932.
This piece features the highly desirable three-color glaze combination, showcasing a rich matte teal-green around the collar and low-slung ear handles, blending seamlessly into a warm, dusty blush-pink midsection. The body is decorated with raised, embossed white cherry blossoms on brown branches, set against a distinctly textured, wood-grain styled background. The lower portion of the bulbous body features crisp vertical ribbing inset with dark green panels.
True to Roseville pieces manufactured during this middle production era, the smooth pinkish-tan clay base ring is unmarked (originally bearing a paper or foil factory label that has since worn away with age) and features three prominent, authentic kiln stilt marks and a faint hand-written factory pencil mark from production. An exceptionally clean, collector-grade piece of Art Deco era ceramic art that coordinates beautifully with Arts & Crafts, transitional, or eclectic interiors.
