The Maker: Stamped Inside the drawers, the piece bears its original maker’s stamp: "Kozik Karl u. Berta, Wien V./55, Schwendergasse 65/3". Located in the 5th district (Wien V) of Vienna on Schwendergasse, independent cabinet makers and workshops like Kozik produced exquisite, high-quality furniture during the late 19th to mid-20th century, combining traditional Viennese joinery with stunning wood selection. The 65/9 in the stamp ("Wien V./55, Schwendergasse 65/9") represents the precise building and unit/door location of the maker's workshop in Vienna, Austria.

Design & Materials: The chest features a rich, warm wood tone showcasing magnificent book-matched or burl wood grain framing across the drawer fronts. It is accented by (not original drawer pulls) metal lion mask ring pulls that give it a stately, neoclassical touch.

Dimensions: This highboy configuration offers ample storage space across its multiple deep drawers while maintaining a narrow footprint, making it ideal for bedrooms, hallways, or living spaces.

Condition: Retains wonderful antique character with solid wood construction. Signs of age-appropriate wear consistent with history give it an authentic, well-loved patina.

Very Good structural condition, All joints tight and strong. Original Patina, High-Quality Craftsman construction, Age/use related surface wear marks, Light scratches and blemishes, small nicks, Seam crack on top feels stable and solid. Drawers open as should.
