An elegant 20th-century vintage silver-plated vanity or trinket box attributed to the Godinger Silver Art Co. This sophisticated piece features a beautifully balanced aesthetic pairing classical marine motifs with postmodern utility.
The box is designed with a heavy, faceted oval body displaying beautifully detailed embossed sea shell and scrolling foliage cartouches along its scalloped sides. The tight-fitting, curved dome lid is crowned with a highly sculptural, three-dimensional scallop shell finial that doubles as a functional handle.
The interior is fully lined with its original, suntuous carmin-red plush velvet, making it exceptionally well-suited for safeguarding fine jewelry, watches, or precious keepsakes. A classic decorative accent that adds historical weight and reflection to a contemporary dressing table, vanity, or bar cart.
